Update:


As of Natural Selection update 238, UWE has introduced a new “redeployment” behaviour to cyst placement, and have included an inner radius circle much like the one in this mod. Thus this mod is no longer required. Thanks to all those who enjoyed it while it was useful.

Original Description:


In the recently released build 236 of NS2, the minimum distance between cysts has been increased from 2m to 6m. This has made cyst placement more difficult and in some cases almost impossible.

I present this Khammander Interface mod that eases the uncertainty of cyst placement by explicitly highlighting areas within which a cyst cannot be placed.

Note: As this circle texture is used for more than just cyst placement, it will appear in places where it is not relevant, however I feel that the need to know where cyst placement is legal, when the stakes are high, more than makes up for that. I hope you agree, and find this mod useful.

Avatar SliWhist120462317Blood 'n Bone Aliens6/21/2013: I saw this on the first page of the workshop just now, for anyone subscribed to this, it does not contain the newer aliens such as babblers and gorge tunnels, just thought everyone should know.

Change aliens to a color scheme akin to blood and bones!

Glows are reduced in many cases and aliens are much darker!

For all intents and purposes this is just a color, saturation, and brightness change. It's intended to add more options for players who mix and match cosmetic mods!

Avatar Verruby120111291Color-Coded WeaponsThe ultimate in try-hard modifications, this color-codes the marine weapons' world model to make them more easily distinguishable from each other during combat.

This affects both weapons being held by other marines (both friendly and enemy) as well as weapons dropped on the floor. It's also visible as a commander, so you can give your troops more strategic instructions based on the weapon loadouts.

Pistol - Cyan
Rifle - Blue
Shotgun - Green
Grenade Launcher - Magenta
Flamethrower - Yellow

Mines, grenades and other general projectiles have not been altered, cause that would be pushing it a bit far. There's nothing stopping you from doing it yourself though.

Planned Updates:
- Make them stand out from the orange glow of alien vision a bit more (this may break consistency checks)
